Do what works for you, but I constantly have to tell myself, it's not that deep.
I had every intention of Jax & I reading books in the library together, but he wanted to play with the trucks. So instead of telling him no, I got down and played with him. I'm a children's book author and we didn't pick up a single book. 🤷🏽♀️
But I'm ok with that. He's 3 and sometimes trucks and train tracks are much more fun than flipping through pages.
I feel like as parents, we often pivot when it comes to our littles. When's the last time you told yourself, "it's not that deep" & then just went with the flow for your kids (and your sanity lol)?
